Hypertension: 970 million people globally are living with high blood pressure today, and it is estimated that 1.56 billion will have it by 2025. Today in the US there is over 5 million people that suffer from Alzheimer and that number is expected to grow to 60 million by 2050.
There is an awareness bubbling up from below the surface to levels where ordinary consumers are wanting to gain more knowledge. There is plenty of information out there that you can aquire. For example there are articles in the Wall Street Journal, there is stuff appearing in US news and World Report, Time magazine reporting on it. There is a book by Michael Moss called 'Salt Sugar Fat'- how the food giants hooked us. There are movies that Hollywood has produced, these movies are documentaries. A recent one that was in the theatre is called Fed Up, before that it was one that was called Food Matters, and before that Forks over Knives.
There are a bunch of organization shining the light on the root cause of what is causing this global health epedemic. It is being said that we are digging our graves one spoonful at a time. Big food companies are now been called the current day Big Tabaco. In 'Fat Sugar Salt' it says big food are currently hooking us on their food products.
